Tiny, remote Wyattville, Oregon, looks like the perfect place to disappear, but it’s hard to blend into the woodwork when one of the town’s infamous namesakes sends her heart racing. She does small town heroes so well and this book is no exception. Steven’s work the book was well written I am looking forward to reading more of this series. Thought this was a fun read, the first in the Subpoened to testify againist her ex-boyfriend and bieng threatened by a dirty cop was enough to have Eleanor Owen running clear across the country to Wyattsville, Oregon in hiding. So you’d better get over that distrust of law enforcement bit.
Like how she feels under the covers. Stevens’ writing flowed smoothly and seamlessly and the book was well edited. Is there any place she can hide from men? She makes up a lame story about why she ran and gave her cousin’s name which is close enough to hers to allow her to still use the nickname Ellie so that when Tyson runs her name it comes up basically clean. Her brain pretty much turns off when he touches her and she finds she trusts him even though she isn’t sure if it’s a good idea.

The attraction between them It’s a cute fluffy mommy porn-lite piece, and who doesn’t need to be rescued every now and then, especially by a hot cop. I totally enjoyed this book as a shlli read, but would have absolutely LOVED it a bit more drawn out to g If you’ve read and enjoyed Lauren Dane’s ‘Chase Brothers’ series, then you will probably like this book as well.

Want to Read saving…. The writing was 3rd person. To protect, serve…and love. And the studly quotient is pretty high too. A hint of danger.

One whelli and she was forever hooked. I recently read Book 2 in this series and had to come back and read Books 1 and 3.
Ellie is a yoga instructor from Chicago who needs to skip town, avoiding to testify in court against his ex, who’s been charged with drug trafficking.

And, yes, of course, they fell in love in the end and Ellie moved to live with Tyson, and planed a wedding. The love scenes were detailed and steamy.
Going Down (Holding Out for A Hero, #1) by Shelli Stevens
She goes running and almost kills herself and Tyson ends up saving her. The heroine in this tale is running for her life from abuse in her one-on-one relationship as well as from a federal supoena as a critical witness against the same man. Stevens did an awesome job of showing how persuasive he can be without deflating his passionate when right woman comes along.
